About the Event
Learn how to keep SELF, family, kids safe in the cyberworld!
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, people are relying even more on online technology.
This also means that we are sending and receiving more and more information “over the wires”, including information we would normally keep very close. This is a direct result of our increased working from home, shopping from home, banking from home and even investing from home. Many of us have been somewhat forced to digitize, but have we understood the necessities of doing so effectively and the pitfalls of failing to do so?
Our kids are interacting more and more online as well, with their friends… and with whom else? Some elements of this are clear, or appear so – Zoom, Google Classroom, etc. But devices allow these young, agile, inquisitive minds to multitask in a way that many adults just wish for. Is it possible to manage the packets of information and communication that come and go on our children’s devices? How?
Join our speaker, Sanjay Sidhu with 30 years of assurance, advisory, and compliance experience. Sanjay currently manages a portfolio of forensic, cyber security, and risk and governance engagements across a range of industries. Sanjay commenced his career in 1991 with Touche Ross & Co in the UK and proceeded to roles at Ernst & Young in the UK and in Poland. Over a 10-year period, Sanjay executed roles in statutory audit, IT audit, data analytics, and investigations/special audits for clients in heavy manufacturing, oil & gas, retail, financial services, airport operations, and local government. Through the subsequent 11 years, Sanjay held internal audit leadership roles at a number of Fortune 500 companies, based in the Netherlands, and with responsibility for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Sanjay joined BDO upon his return to Malaysia in 2012 where, among his client service engagements and responsibilities, he is also the firm’s CIO and CISO.
